🕯️ About
Hi, my name is Isa. I am the writer behind A Homemaker’s Manifesto, which grew out of a major life change I made a few years ago when I walked away from a lucrative career writing right-wing political news and commentary and re-embraced the heart of homemaking that had first led me to Christ as a young woman.
The truth is, I was wrecked. Emotionally, physically, hormonally — you name it. My body was screaming that something was wrong, but I saw it as betrayal, not design. I believed my symptoms were signs of glitches, not signals. I had no idea the impact this mentality was making on my mental and physical health.
I was a committed intellectual Christian — a passionate apologist and fierce culture warrior. I had all the right ideas (so I thought). But they were sitting on top of a carefully constructed set of protective adaptations I’d used for years to survive emotional wounds I didn’t even know needed healing.
I clung to a materialistic, legalistic view of faith — one that treated the body with suspicion and labeled emotion as moral weakness.
I believed that true holiness and selflessness meant denying my own needs and anything my heart cried out.
I was wrong.
Created Female was born out of my healing — a return to the simple, ancient truth that our bodies are not the enemy. That our femininity is not a flaw to fix, nor something we need to strive to attain. That Christ offers us freedom from sin, not stigma for our wounds.
Through common-sense practices rooted in classical Christianity and written into the fabric of the female body, we can find healing.
We can reclaim mental peace, physical order, and a renewed sense of dignity.
We can live whole again — and at peace in the created design that was never against us.
This space is for women like you — women who believe the truth but still feel fractured. Women tired of living like disembodied minds. Women who want peace, healing, and feminine wholeness without compromise.
You don’t need to self-reproach or pathologize your suffering.
You don’t need to contort into something you’re not.
You just need to know you already are what God created you to be.
